Biography
Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was Governor-General of India like his ancestor was the Governor-General of Bengal. he was educated at Eton and Cambridge, and was previously Governor-General of Canada. He became viceroy after Curzon resigned. Working with the then Secretary of State for India John Morley, he worked to pass the Indian Councils Act of 1909. He was then replaced by Lord Hardinge.
