Biography
Farrukhsiyar was the son of Azim-ush-Shan and nephew to Jahandar Shah. With the help of the Syed brothers - generals in the Mughal army, he overthrew, imprisoned and murdered his uncle. He granted a Firman to the East India Company after representatives travelled to his court. His reign lasted six years before the Syed brothers turned on him. He was blinded and strangled to death.
